Plungington Roundup! |

Hello Residents of Plungington,
Thanks to all who attended the PACT meeting last night at Plungington Community Centre. It was a good meeting and for those who missed it we discussed the below:
At the beginning of October and at the last PACT we received information about drug dealing in several areas across Plungington, including the community centre, College Court, Cambridge Court and Ainslie Road. The reports of this have since reduced. On 15th October, Preston Neighbourhood team alongside British Transport Police conducted an operation across Preston, with Plungington Hotspots as a main focus. As part of that operation 27 people were arrested in relation to drugs offences with several of those individuals being in the Plungington area. #yousaidwedid
We have also had another bike operation to target the illegal e-bikes and scooters, this focuses on targeting nuisance children alongside delivery drivers who also have illegal bikes. On an operation two weeks ago we seized 23 bikes across the central areas of Preston.
Over the last few weeks we have seen an increase in nuisance logs for SPAR, Plungington Road. There have been a group of kids causing issues and we have identified them and will be taking action against them. The youths aren’t too local and are coming from other areas to cause issues, although frustrating as they have no need to be in the area we may be able to look at banning them from the area. A few other shops have been affected on Plungington Road and we have spoken to them and gained relevant information and intelligence.
A date for the diary- On Thursday 20th November 2025 we will be conducting a multi-agency day of action at and around Plungington Community Centre. Any volunteers for joining in the litter pick will be greatly appreciated. The event will last from 11:00-14:00hrs.
Our next PACT meeting will be 15th December 2025 at 6:30pm at Plungington Community Centre. We hope to see you there!
Many Thanks PC Ruth, PCSO Josh and PCSO Caitlin
